Garden pods in Dublin
A pod is the quickest way to get a finished, insulated room into a Dublin garden. It arrives as a complete space rather than a project — fully finished and ready for furniture — and it suits gardens where a squared-off building would dominate everything around it.
Why choose a Modulux pod
Built with premium quality materials and insulated for all-year-round use, with a fast build turnaround and a fully finished interior ready for furniture. Groundwork is included if needed, and our in-house design team will work to a bespoke shape or size rather than handing you three options and a colour chart.
On-site service connections and decking installation are part of what we do, so the pod arrives as a usable room with a step out onto something solid, not as a shell in the middle of a lawn.
What people use them for
In Dublin gardens, pods most often become a home office, a teenager's room, a treatment or therapy room for someone working from home, a garden bar or a quiet space away from a busy house. Because they are insulated floor, walls and roof, they get used through the winter rather than shut up in October.
Space is the usual constraint. A pod's curved or angled profile takes up less visual room than a square building of the same floor area, which matters in a garden that is twenty feet wide.
Sizes, designs and where we work
All sizes and designs of pod, with bespoke designs available. Tell us what the space has to do and how much garden you are willing to give it, and the design team works back from there.
We cover Dublin 1 to Dublin 24 and the wider county — Swords, Malahide, Howth, Clontarf, Raheny, Rathmines, Terenure, Rathfarnham, Dundrum, Stillorgan, Blackrock, Dún Laoghaire, Tallaght, Lucan, Clondalkin, Blanchardstown and Castleknock among them — from our base in Clonshaugh Business & Technology Park, Dublin 17.

Questions people ask
Do I need planning permission for a garden pod in Dublin?
Often not — many fall under exempted development — but it depends on floor area, height, position relative to the house and how much of the garden is already built on. Confirm it with Dublin City Council, Fingal, South Dublin or Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, whichever covers you.
Can a pod be used all year?
Yes. They are insulated for all-year-round use and finished ready for furniture.
Do you sort the base and the electrics?
Groundwork is included if needed, and on-site service connections and decking installation are part of what we do.
Can I get a size that isn't on your list?
Yes — all sizes and designs, with bespoke designs available through our in-house design team.
